I wanted to write a Christmas song that made me feel giddy. Giddy in the same way I felt when I first heard classics like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Sleigh Ride.
One evening, while puttering around the house with a glass of wine in hand, the verses seemed to write themselves. Later, my longtime collaborator Jon Kubis and I wrote the bridges in a small studio we rented in Boyle Heights. The song came together organically, without a grand plan or formula. Its success has followed a similar path.
Released in 2018, Jingle Jangle gradually found its audience one listener, one placement, and one holiday season at a time. Without a major label, significant promotion, or industry machine behind it, the song grew into what I like to call "the independent Christmas song that could."
Today, Jingle Jangle has earned more than 5 million streams, won a Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Holiday Song, and continues to be licensed worldwide.
Thank you to everyone who has pitched, licensed, streamed, saved, shared, and added Jingle Jangle to your holiday playlists over the years. With love and gratitude,

It's the most wonderful time of year
Cocoa on kettles, laughter & cheer
Jingle Jangle it's Christmas time again
Play some carols, we'll light up the tree
And pop some corn to put on a string
To the jingle jangle of Christmas chimes again
Bridge:
Giddy up, giddy up - off we go
To the Jolly Town Parade
Giddy up, giddy up in the snow
To the jingle jangle on an open sleigh, oh
It's my favorite time of year
On a sleigh ride together in the frosty air
Jingle jangle it's Christmas time again
Bridge:
Giddy up, giddy up off we go
Down to Peppermint Town Lane
Giddy up, giddy off to bed we go
While Santa does the jingle jangle all the way, oh
It's the most magical time of year
We'll be reminiscing when the spring is here
Until jingle jangle it's Christmas time again
'Til jingle jangle it's Christmas time again
Jingle jangle it's Christmas time again
